The Unfair Sex

The only Member of Parliament to speak against having all-women short lists for parliamentary candidates was Ann Widdicombe. She asked: "Why do you men just roll over?"
The other day, walking through my local gardens, I passed half a dozen women about my age. One said: "It must've been made by a man." The others laughed.
The User Profile puts "Male" after "Female". This is contrary to normal custom and practice. It must've been made by a man....
BBC Radio 4's "From our own Correspondent" on 29 June 2007 told of the thousands of North Africans who enter Europe illegally. The going rate for using the services of a trafficker is £650 (more than $1,000). They are mostly men; and once here if they find someone to marry they're here for good.
Even if laws in other countries are changed so as to enable native British men to live and work in other countries (outside the EU) that does nothing to help the many who remain in the UK who are made very unhappy by immigration.
Conscription in Britain ended in early 1962. That was supposed to be a good thing for native British men; not an added attraction for young foreign men to occupy the UK. It is small wonder that the suicide rate for young men in the UK is so high (5:1 compared with young women).
